This car traffic simulation was a project for a professor researching Ad-Hoc Vehicular communications. The objective was to take a city procedurally generated by CityEngine, import it into Unity3D and have functional traffic AI. This project is a work in progress. I was responsible for learning how to use CityEngine and figuring out how to generate data that could be used by agents to drive around a procedurally generated city while abiding by the rules of the road. There is a demo of this tech above; this demo represents the first iteration. This is an on going research project. It isn’t very pretty on the outside but internally there is a lot going on.
